Feeding Carp in the Orchard Carp Lake – lovely things to do with children and kids

From April to the End of October we feed the fish in the Orchard Carp Lake. In the winter they hibernate and settle to the bottom of the pool and awake when the weather warms up. For the first month  they are very still sleepy and don’t require much feeding, but as summer approaches and the water warms up they become more active and require more food. We normally feed the fish in the evening and your help is gladly welcome. Now at the end of September the weather is cooling and the days are shortening. The feeding is less and soon they won’t need to be fed at all.
