January a fantastic time to visit the cottages – Warwick and Stratford.
January is a fantastic time to visit the cottages. The farm is idyllic as the landscape is often covered in a crisp white frost and the fields although dormant are coated in a green fuzzy haze as the small shoots of the wheat push their way through the cold and harsh soil as they start their journey. The red berries of the, holly, the rose and the crab apple are a welcome vibrancy in the hedge row and provide a welcome food stop for birds and small animals.
The towns of Warwick and Stratford are open this time of the year. It makes a perfect time to visit Warwick Castle and the Houses of Shakespeare
