This week we had a lovely young bride stay with us and then get ready and depart from the cottages in the most gorgeous VW camper van to be married. She looked absolutely fabulous and had shoes to die for.
Burton Dassett hills is a two mile walk from the cottages and the beacon can be viewed from the farm. A lovely place to visit.

The mill was built in 1664 and blown down in a storm in 1946. The beacon was likely built by Lord of the Manor Sir Edward Belknap in the late 15th century as a tower mill and later used as defensive lookout tower in the English Civil War.
